The Long Valley Village Association (LVVA) and Long Valley Arts are now accepting poster submissions for the LVVA “My Long Valley” poster contest.

The artwork for the poster should be something that shows your passion and town spirit! You may include anything that you feel the town means to you or your family. You can include a local business, historical building, or even just the local scenery. It’s up to you! Be creative and have fun with it.

The winning entries could be a future stamp and/or poster for sale in local Long Valley businesses. Proceeds from the sales will be used towards planning future LVVA community events. All entries will be on display at Valley Quest 2008 (May 18th) and then for a month-long showing at The Arts Building, 18 Schooley’s Mt. Road, Long Valley.

The poster requirements are as follows:

  • The poster is vertical
  • The size of the artwork is to be 24 x18 (actual poster size is 25 x 19)
  • The artwork can be in any media
  • The artwork should be something recognizable in Long Valley

Although it is not required, should artists wish to include copy for the poster, it should read as follows:

  • Headline: “My Long Valley”
  • Include: localhost:8888/lvva

Entry divisions include:

  • Adult
  • High School
  • Middle School
  • 4th and 5th Grade

The deadline for all entries for the poster is April 30, 2008. The winning entries will be chosen and notified on or about June 2, 2008.
