Winterfest ‘10
Food, music, drinks, slient auction, and great prizes! Long Valley Junior Woman’s Club presents Winterfest ‘10, on Saturday, February 6, 7:30-11:30 pm at Schooley’s Mountain Park Lodge. Tickets are $40 per person ($50 if paid at the door) to benefit Freedom Horse.
Super Bowl Sunday
Party with friends, fans, and foes with buffet, beer, drinks, prizes and happy hour. You’ll want to reserve a table now for Sunday is February 7 at your favorite Long Valley restaurant or bar and grill.
Valentine’s Day
Celebrate romance with breakfast, lunch or dinner at our local restaurants and eateries. You can find a one-of-a-kind gift at our antique shops or get away for the weekend at the bed and breakfast. Treat your Valentine to a special day or surprise. Valentine’s Day is Sunday, February 14 — plan to celebrate all weekend. Do something special this year!
Mardi Gras
Whether you call it Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday, you’ll want to celebrate all week with our member catering and dining establishments. Check their web sites or call for specific dates and times. Mardi Gras is Tuesday, February 16.

ANTIQUES IN LONG VALLEY
A one-day benefit show and sale will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Long Valley Middle School, Route 513. This 24th annual extravaganza is expected to draw huge crowds as it has in the past and will benefit the Long Valley Woman’s Club Scholarship and Community Fund. Forty exhibitors of antiques covering all periods will be participating.
Find country and formal furniture, both refinished and painted, and accessories; quilts and textiles; brass and copper; toys and dolls; advertising, yellowware, spongeware, wood, tin, china, glass, jewelry and much more. Thousands of items are priced in every range and category so that both the beginner and the advanced collector will find items to meet their needs.
Parking is FREE. HOMEMADE FOOD IS AVAILABLE ALL DAY. $6 admission for adults with children admitted free when accompanied by an adult. THE SHOW WILL BE HELD RAIN, SNOW, OR SHINE. No early buying or admission.
Be sure to visit Long Valley’s antique shops for other finds, and relax to a dinner and drink at our restaurants after the show.
Spring Ahead! Time Change on March 13
Loose an hour’s sleep, but gain more sunlight in the evenings. Set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night, March 13 — the official change is at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010. Also, install new batteries in warning devices like smoke detectors.
